Since our 2006 implementation, Hennepin County has had a growing list of enhancement requests for self-service that our users would LOVE to be able to do within the system – personnel actions, automobile use requests, mobile device stipends, security access, add/modify positions, etc. They landed with a thud on IT’s worklist… more to-do’s on a long list waiting for a developer or after review was not a priority to automate.

After struggling with the delivered PS Forms Builder, we started using configurable GT eForms for PeopleSoft in 2017. We’ll discuss what we’ve built, how we’ve developed our in-house skills for creating dynamic PeopleSoft-based forms, and the impact on our business processes. We’ll demonstrate how our new Finance Security eForm delivers an intuitive and attractive user experience, executes our business rules, auto-defaults data, dynamically routes for approvals, and automatically updates PeopleSoft…all built by the County and without modifying delivered objects!

In this session, we share an overview of several PeopleSoft Lease Administration projects, both implementation and transitioning to the new accounting standard for tenant/payables leases, ASC 842.  We will also highlight some of the key features and functionality of fully integrated PeopleSoft Lease Administration module, including the activity guide provided by Oracle to help facilitate an organization’s transition to the new ASC 842 standard for leases.

The County of Sonoma successfully implemented PeopleSoft (PS) 9.1 Financials and Supply Chain Management (SCM) in 2014, Phase II (additional modules) in 2015 and upgraded to PS 9.2 Financials and SCM in 2017.  After three years of implementation and upgrade, it was determined that the Enterprise Financial System (EFS) project team needed to transition to an ongoing support team to ensure the continued success of Sonoma County’s multimillion dollar investment. Over a nine-month period, a dedicated team analyzed both internal and external factors to determine an effective service delivery model to present to the EFS Leadership Team garnering their support for approval to move forward and transition the EFS project team to a fully functioning support organization. This case study will walk you through the steps EFS used to develop their service delivery model and illustrate the successes they have achieved since the adoption of their service delivery model.

With more enterprises hosting mission-critical applications like Oracle-PeopleSoft in the cloud, application managers and DevOps teams need to be aware of the evolving threat landscape. They also need to architect the deployment to be resilient in the face of ever-evolving threats. In this talk, Laurent Gil will share the latest cybersecurity research findings based on real-world security operations along with innovative approaches to managing and mitigating security events at the cloud edge. He'll also talk about how one global energy and waste management firm strengthened its security posture and protected its cloud-based PeopleSoft implementation from DDoS attacks with the Oracle Web Application Firewall (WAF). You'll learn about the steps companies take—and the security challenges they overcome—when moving PeopleSoft to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
