The Oracle Autonomous Health Framework (AHF) is a major enhancement in ensuring database performance and availability introduced with the Oracle Database 12c Rel. 2. This session will explain and demonstrate how incorporating applied machine learning techniques in Oracle Cluster Health Advisor, Hang Manager and Trace File Analyzer, autonomously and automatically preserves availability SLAs especially in consolidated or cloud database deployments.

RMAN as most know it, is one of the most important utilities in a DBAs arsenal. In earlier releases it is fair to say that occasionally it did create havoc and some DBA's were afraid to use it. Is it too complex? “Backup database” - does not look to complex does it? In Oracle Database…

There are often challenges getting applications and clients to talk to our databases. This presentation teaches the basics of the Oracle Server networking by discussing the various components of OracleNet. We will discuss the various ways to connect to the database through the network and some tips to help simplify many of the challenges Oracle networking can pose. #IOUGeniusDBBeginner Certificate

This panel from the Electric Reliability Council of Texas show how they improved application resiliency by harnessing the features of Oracle 12c Real Application Clusters (RAC) and the Universal Connection Pool (UCP). The results of this project improved the ability for the application to continue during episodes of infrastructure outage.
