PeopleSoft FSCM 9.2 increases productivity through PeopleTools Pivoting Technology; which is native PeopleTools functionality that transforms the PS Query results set into an Excel-like pivot table, chart, or grid. Pivot Grids provide you with a visualization tool to interpret data through pivoting and filtering—improving the application experience. You’ll get the data you want to see in the exact form that you want to see it in. The actionable operational analytics are embedded within pages, which allows you to analyze rich information from your source system and provide decision support capabilities so that users can take action right on the page. These interactive analytical grids and charts provide greater decision support capabilities and access to actionable information. They can be accessed through Tiles on Homepages, Dashboards, and WorkCenters. Related Actions and Related Content come from PeopleSoft Portal Pages. PeopleSoft FSCM 9.2 delivers many pivot grids that allow you to aggregate data and show new insights in just a few clicks. These pivot grids are also available for mobile devices.  In this video, we’ll take a look at a few billing metrics.

Invoice by Specialists Tile

The Invoices by Specialist tile shows the count of pending invoices by billing specialist or the workload distribution metric. The tile only displays the metric for five specialists. When you open the tile, more specialists are visible on the chart, and the pivot grid lists all of the billing specialists. You can also modify the chart to see a view of the billing status for each specialist.

Option Menu

The Options menu includes more pivot grid features that help you update a filter, export data to Excel, save a view, reset all changes, or add the pivot chart to a homepage. If the count of invoices crosses the threshold value, the system will alert you.

The Interface Errors Tile

The Interface Errors tile displays the count of Billing Interface line transactions that resulted in an error. This tile allows a billing manager to view what percentage of processes bill lines are currently in error. The Interface Errors pivot grid displays the summary count of lines in error by bill source, error type, and currency. Currency formatting is not available on this pivot grid because currency is not a required field.

Payable Operations

Let’s look at an example from Payables Operations. Supplier 360 provides options to see all of the information related to suppliers from a central place. A supplier, or a potential supplier, is involved in every transaction required to request and pay for goods and services. Select a supplier to analyze their metrics. You can compare the metrics of more than one supplier. Pivot grids on the Supplier 360 dashboard provide summary level details and supporting analytics encompassing the invoices flow within an organization. Leveraging the latest technology, the Payable Operations pivot girds provide access to key information and real-time analytics. For example, you can look into Liability Exposure by Supplier, Voucher Status, Match Exception Analysis and more. The dashboard gives a complete view of different metrics using the pivot grids. Select one of the pivot grids to open and then open the detailed grid to get more information. Using related actions, you can update related pages too. Pivot grids in PeopleSoft FSCM 9.2 enable you to access and analyze information and take action quickly to address your business needs and increase your productivity.
