On Sunday, April 22, attendees at the COLLABORATE 18 — Quest Forum participated in our first, annual Quest for Good community service project.
Quest for Good was created to formalize our philanthropic outreach. The Quest community has a history of giving back to various organizations and cities that have supported our conferences and users. To extend Quest’s community service arm, we decided to brand our efforts to give back under the “Quest for Good” umbrella.
Our first official Quest for Good event was at COLLABORATE 18. We invited our attendees to assemble 1,000 Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) Kits for Title 1 Schools in Clark County, Nevada. The kits provided students in need with the materials to excel in these educational areas. Additionally, we collected encouraging notes from the Quest community prior to arriving in Las Vegas. These notes were included in the STEM Kits so every student received a positive message to not only motivate them academically, but personally as well.
Attendees were quick to volunteer, and all 1,000 STEM Kits were assembled within an hour! To recognize those that gave of their time and continue our Quest for Good efforts, we randomly selected three volunteers to give a $100 donation to the charity of their choice. The three charities that received donations were:
- Girl Scout Group of Colorado
- Big Dog Ranch Rescue
- St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital
Thank you to everyone who volunteered to help the students in Las Vegas! We look forward to continuing our Quest for Good efforts with our incredible community at future events.
