Great Dane has made a successful transformation to the cloud with Oracle. The company benefits from the agility Oracle offers, enabling the company to manage its complex compensation packages. This presentation offers an overview of Oracle Cloud workforce compensation and how Oracle Cloud enabled Great Dane’s compensation managers.
Great Dane has established itself as the transportation solutions leader of today – delivering innovative products and exceptional service to help customers and employees succeed. The company focuses on engineering durable and high-quality trailers and truck bodies, as well as fostering relationships that last a lifetime. The company has nine manufacturing plants and 20 sales branches.
Great Dane’s compensation processes are complex because, in part, increases in compensation can be made because of an adjustment, promotion, merit or any combination of the three. Increases can also be in lump sum or incrementally.
I had the opportunity of hearing Great Dane present at COLLABORATE 18. Below are a few key takeaways from their presentation:
- Oracle can accommodate compensation plans with multiple types of salary increases and the increases can come at different paces.
- Oracle designed the system to reduce input errors and to provide alerts and notifications which lead to the success of the entire system.
- Accessibility throughout the compensation process is at the discretion of upper management.
- Mass cost-of-living adjustments are made possible through a model that the compensation team can create.
