Today, we learned that John Schiff, Vice President JD Edwards Business Development, is leaving Oracle effective immediately. John has been one of the greatest supporters of the JD Edwards user community for more than 20 years. His contributions to the JD Edwards product and users throughout his career have been some of the most impactful we have seen during Quest’s existence. John was recognized by Quest in 2014 with the Quest Legacy Award, Quest’s highest award given to those that have made a lasting impact on the user community.
John shared that this next phase of his journey comes “with sadness, joy, and a sense of anticipation. I have stayed over the years, because working with wonderful colleagues, interacting with amazing partners, appreciation of the most loyal customers and the greatest ERP have given me an indescribable career.”
When asked, “What’s next?” John responded, “First and foremost, I am taking my first sabbatical after more than 50 years of working; I am going to enjoy grandparenthood, I am going to challenge myself to learn a new language, spend more time with my photography, and enjoy time with old friends. You very well may see me again…I look forward to the time to reflect and think about what business opportunities might interest me next.”
John, on behalf of the thousands of JD Edwards customers, business partners and other community members that you have impacted over the years, we thank you. Thank you for being the consummate professional, but more importantly, thank you for being a great friend to so many. You will be missed.
We wish you the very best in this next phase, and we hope that we will see you again soon!
