JD Edwards Message Center: Managing Notifications and Work Center Messages

JDE-Message-Center

Would you like more control over your notification messages? Do you want to sort, group, and search over messages? The Message Center enables you to do exactly that.

The Notifications feature first launched with Tools 9.2.2 and enables you to stay connected with important events and information that occurs within the JD Edwards system. The feature provides a drop-down notification list in the JD Edwards user interface so you can see and act on your latest notifications.

With Tools 9.2.3, a new Message Center has been added to give you more control over your notification messages. You can search, group, sort, and delete multiples messages at once. This gives you easier management of your important messages.

The new Message Center also provides a similar view and management of the traditional JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Work Center messages. Now you can keep your important messages organized, even if you have a lot of them.

You can access the Message Center from the “Manage Notifications” menu. It is also available on a new EnterpriseOne page called My Worklist. Once you’re in the Message Center, you can view your notification messages or Work Center messages. You can sort your notification messages by subject, subscription, role, data, or category. You can also choose whether you want to view them in groups—giving you the option to collapse the groups for easier viewing. You could also delete groups of messages all at once. You can choose to view only unread messages or perform a search to look for specific messages.

When you select a message to view, the details of the message will appear in the reading pane on the right side of the screen. From there, you can handle your messages similar to an email system. You can mark it as read or unread, delete it, view details about it, or use an application shortcut links that are included in the message. You can also access Subscription Manager from here, so you can easily manage your notification subscriptions.

For Work Center messages, you can sort messages by date, queue name, subject, or default. You can show messages in groups, collapse those groups, and delete multiples, just like with notification messages. You can view only unread messages or perform a search for specific messages. With Work Center messages, you can also launch the Work Center and view the attachments.

The My Worklist EnterpriseOne page provides a view of your watchlists, the Message Center, and the Orchestrator Health monitor all on a single page.
