How the Right Culture Can Be Key to Cloud Success

Company-Culture

Margaret Harrist, Director of Content Strategy and Implementation at Oracle, wrote an article for Forbes about the time she spent talking with Beth Boettcher, Oracle Senior Vice President of Applications Consulting. The pair discussed one component that has the power to influence the success of an organization’s Cloud implementation—the company culture.

Having the right culture has the power to bring success with Cloud to your organization. As you start to move from an on-premises application to a modern Cloud solution, it’s important not to overlook your company’s culture because it has the power to limit your migration’s success.

“Companies whose decision-making is strictly hierarchical—or, at the other extreme, overly dependent on building consensus—will have a difficult time adapting to the Cloud,” Beth said. “Slow-moving cultures, in particular, can run into long, or even stalled, Cloud implementations.”
