PeopleSoft FSCM 9.2 Image 16 is now available
Oracle continues to invest in PeopleSoft applications on an ongoing basis, including frequent delivery of significant new functionality on its latest 9.2 release. Customers can selectively adopt new features and enhancements using the PeopleSoft Update Manager. Below are the newest features from Image 16 released in December 2015.
Financial Management Solutions
Expenses Application Data Sets
This enhancement introduces new Application Data Sets (ADS) in PeopleSoft Expenses to simplify the administration, testing, and transfer of setup data between databases. ADS records are being delivered in Expenses for:
- Expense Types, Expense Type Groups, Expense Type Categories
- Expense Locations and Location Amounts
- Expenses Approval Workflow Configuration (Approver Stages, Refinement Templates, Risk Templates)
- Roles and Privilege Templates (employee and approver)
- Per Diem (including Range Categories, Ranges, Per Diem Amounts, Formulas)
InterUnit Journal Approvals
Enhanced the InterUnit Journal Approval feature for customers who have dedicated approvers who manage multiple business units. PeopleSoft General Ledger added the Automatically Approve Non-Anchor BU Journals check box on the Installation Options – General Ledger page.
Asset Lifecycle Management Solutions
Mobile Physical Inventory and Asset Tracking Feature
PeopleSoft introduces the Asset Tracking homepage in the PeopleSoft Fluid User Interface. The Asset Tracking homepage provides access to these tiles:
- Physical Inventory. Use this tile to perform mobile physical inventory, scan assets, retrieve and display asset information from the Asset Repository, and automatically populate the Physical Inventory and Scan History tables with scan records. You can also edit scanned asset information or manually add a new scan asset record.
- Scan Asset. Use this tile to retrieve general information, preventative maintenance schedules, and work orders associated with a scanned asset.
- Scan By Location. Use this tile to scan assets within a specific location and build an audit history for assets in that location.
- Find Asset. Use this tile to retrieve information for assets without scanning a barcode.
Japanese Impairment Enhancement
PeopleSoft enhanced Japanese impairment to prevent depreciation past an asset’s end of life.
Preventive Maintenance Interval Blackout
PeopleSoft FSCM 9.2 introduces the interval blackout option to the preventive maintenance schedule along with an option to identify blackouts with uncertain end dates. The enhancement is valid for Asset, Loop and Location PM Schedules.
Preventive Maintenance Parent Child Relationship
PeopleSoft FSCM 9.2 introduces the Parent/Child option to create preventive maintenance work orders with a parent/ child relationship for multiple levels. The enhancement is valid for Asset, Loop and Location PM Schedules.
Enterprise Service Automation Solutions
Integration Enhancements
Enhanced the project copy feature to allow customers to create new projects and activities from existing projects and activities. The enhancement also includes the option to restrict integration to Project Costing until after integration to General Ledger when running cost collection from Payables and Expenses.
Supplier Relationship Management Solutions
Adobe Document Cloud eSign Services Enhancement
PeopleSoft enhances digital signatures by providing the new Adobe Document Cloud eSign services option, which provides cloud-based document signature lifecycle management for Supplier Contract Management. This feature enables you to route documents, guide signatures, generate notifications, and store signed documents in a secure, cloud-based environment.
Note that Update Images are cumulative and therefore PeopleSoft FSCM 9.2 Update Image 16 contains all fixes, tax updates and enhancements delivered since PeopleSoft FSCM 9.2 was made generally available March 2013.
