Tips and Tricks from Envigo’s Oracle Cloud Journey

We had the opportunity to attend Envigo’s Journey on Harmonizing Across the Globe session at Oracle HCM World. During this session we learned a few tips and tricks that we would like to share:
- Define training requirements early on in the project. The sooner you begin training users, the easier it will be to manage change.
- If your company is international, choose an HCM provider that is up-to-date on all applicable laws and regulations.
- When merging two systems, organize and align data prior to consolidating to improve consistency in your new environment.
- Backfill internal resources, if possible, to allow project members to focus on the project, rather than usual day-to-day responsibilities. If you can’t backfill resources, expect an increased project timeline.
- Engage IT resources prior to launching the project to reduce bottlenecks in the project’s progression.
- Recommend that employees do a thorough review of their data when the new system is launched. This will improve data accuracy along with reducing the unnecessary workload on project resources.
