In today’s digital age, companies must learn how to become more talent-centric in a time of growing AI, competition and pressure. Disruption is occurring within businesses, which can disrupt the talent and experience. HR departments need to figure out a new way to develop a digitally literate group of talent. This new era will change the way businesses recruit, develop and retain employees.
Speed and Agility
Everyone is today’s workforce acknowledges that things are changing faster than ever before. However, it’s one thing to know that change is coming and another to be prepared for it. It’s essential for organizations to find ways to adapt to the changing workforce in a time frame that can keep up with the speed of change.
Pressure for Results
In today’s workforce, HR is feeling more pressure to produce a lot more candidates much faster. For example, many organizations utilize recruitment tools like ZipRecruiter. While the good intent is there, it can make the experience worse for both candidates and HR representatives. Something that is supposed to make the job easier for HR departments ends up flooding them with hundreds or thousands of applications to sort through. It puts the hiring process focussed only on numbers without focusing on the experience.
Competition for Talent
The shortage of unique talent within the workforce brings on a sense of competition for talent between organizations. Everyone wants the best talent to end up at their business, so they start looking across other industries to find that talent. This sense of competition and urgency can be a dangerous game. A recent study showed that there is a 40 percent error rate in hiring across the board. Several organizations admit that they would not rehire the same talent if they had the chance.
EX Drives CX
A better employee experience will result in better customer experience. Employees are just as important as customers, and it’s crucial that they both have an enjoyable experience while interacting with a company. Keeping employees engaged will help organizations retain important talent that will provide customers with a great experience.
